"The Wolf's Journey"

Level of Difficulty: Easy.
Itinerary: The Fall colors of the Carelian Forest will surround you from morning until evening. The uncountable lakes and ponds will wait for you as their last guests before the winter ice closes again on them. The small ridges, sometimes bordered by one lake on each side, will make your trekking like an aerial journey, but you shouldn't get worried too much with the slopes to climb. Actually, just the opposite! This trekking, in spite of it's length, is accessible to everyone! At the first night, you will fall in love with the log-cabin by "The Big Lake of the North" Eh, don't get scared when a river will come to cut off our trail! Small rafts will exercice your arms while giving some rest to your legs involved in 100km of hiking which will lead you to a national park who's symbol is a brown bear. It could have been a wolf, but this last one is much more crafty to avoid you and to hide itself in the depth of those forests at the doors of Russia. More pictures here.

1st Day: Traveling. Begining of trekking. 12km (7.5Miles) Stay the night at a log cabin or tent.

2nd Day: 12km (7.5Miles) Stay the night at a log cabin or tent.

3rd Day: 14km (8.7Miles) Stay the night at a tent.

4th Day: 14km (8.7Miles) Stay the night at a log cabin or tent.

5th Day: 24km (14.9Miles) Stay the night at a tent.

6th Day: 24km (14.9Miles) End of trekking. Stay the night at a log cabin.

Level of Difficulty: Middle.
Itinerary: An easy trail with the current going on about 10km, then gently going up over a mysterious break. Further, suddenly, everything becomes clearer. The water wears a hole in the big "Kevo Wall" to jump into a deep canyon. We will follow its run from upstairs... and downstairs. Except that night when we will camp by this famous waterfall. By the way, there will be the begining of our times when our feet will taste the water wading the peaceful river, just for the pleasure of the adventurers. Eventually, the water will almost never leave us, because the end of our trekking will take place by an amazing lake. And we can be sure that the changing weather of Lapland will award us of its time of raining. More pictures here.
